Exposed (Drawing)
New pencil drawing "Exposed"

Im so happy to have completed the third drawing of the "Pan" series.

This drawing speaks of shedding light on that which we would rather not. Exposing vulnerability and a sense of apprehension which accompanies the process.

Materials: 9B, 6B, 2B, B, and H Pencils, Mechanical pencils. Blending stump, Kneadable eraser, Mono zero Eraser, Graphite powder.

I often get asked how I achieve the background, It is layers of graphite powder applied with large pieces of cotton wool. It is a very slow and tedious process to get a rich, dark, flat tone. The image of the drawing is then taken at a professional art scanner to avoid having the glare of the graphite.
